Every year, the Ayizo community comes together to celebrate the AYIZOXWÉ cultural and community festival. As part of the festival, the AYIZOWHENDO youth football tournament is also organised, bringing together young people from local communities through sport. This year’s tournament took place from 27 June to 15 August 2026.
Located in an Ayizo territory, Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) joined forces with ARISE Foundation as the main sponsors of the tournament. GDIZ and ARISE Foundation provided concrete support for its organisation through financial contributions and donations of equipment, including a trophy, medals, footballs, jerseys, first-aid supplies, etc.
Through this commitment, GDIZ reaffirms its ambition to be much more than an industrial project. It is also a community-minded project, actively engaged with the communities around it. Supporting youth, culture and sport is also a way of contributing to the development and well-being of the communities in which GDIZ operates.
