On Tuesday March 14 we received at GDIZ, HEM. Mohamed Bazoum, President of the Republic of Niger, who was accompanied by a Nigerien delegation, Mr. Romuald WADAGNI, Minister of Economy and Finance of Benin, Mr. Abdoulaye BIO TCHANE, Minister of State in charge of Development and Coordination of the Economy of Benin, Mr. Aurélien AGBENONCI, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Benin and Mrs. Shadiya Alimatou ASSOUMAN, Minister of Industry and Trade of Benin.
The delegation was received by Mr. Létondji BEHETON, General Manager of SIPI-Bénin S.A and Mr. Laurent GANGBES, General Manager of APIEx.
We were able to present the industrialization policy of the Government of Benin and the GDIZ project to our guests, who then visited our cashew processing plant and our Garment Training Centres. This visit enabled the President of Niger to discover the mechanisms that have favoured the development of the Zone and to note the rapid execution of the works. At the end of the visit, the Nigerien President left impressed by the scale of Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone!
