The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Beninese government and Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms (Arise IIP), establishes the installation of the first processing unit within the Industrial Zone of Glo-Djigbé (GDIZ).
The signing of the agreement was made by Yasmeen Jawaharali, COO, M Auto electric mobility and Darren Brown, Director of the Company for Investment and Promotion of Industry (SIPI).
“It is with great interest that we welcome this signature for the installation of M Auto electric mobility. After the 5-year cycle devoted to improving the image of the country, working for its attractiveness, removing handicaps industrialization, Benin is today in another cycle 2021-2026 where much effort will be devoted to selective industrialization,” said Romuald Wadagni, Minister of Economy and Finance. He specified that the improvement of the legal framework, investments in the establishment of road, digital, port, energy, socio-community infrastructures and the formation of human capital are efforts made to allow Benin to open up to effectively to the world by attracting investors.
For Laurent Gangbès, Director of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports (APIeX) and Shadiya Assouman, Minister of Trade and Industry, the signing of the agreement reflects the confidence that investors have in Benin. Yasmeen Jawaharali, COO, M Auto electric mobility praised the Beninese government’s speed in setting up a company.
