Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) made a significant impression at the 2025 edition of the Africa CEO Forum, the leading economic event for African private sector leaders and international investors. Represented through ARISE IIP and the Benin delegation, GDIZ seized this opportunity to promote Benin’s industrial dynamism, attract new economic partners, and highlight products manufactured within the zone.
A Strategic Platform to Enhance Benin’s Appeal
The Africa CEO Forum 2025 enabled GDIZ to connect with numerous investors and economic decision-makers in search of competitive and sustainable industrial destinations in Africa. At the heart of the discussions were GDIZ’s unique assets: its integrated development model, world-class infrastructure, and the range of tax and customs incentives offered to businesses.
A Showcase for Made in Benin
Arise and Choose Benin stands highlighted Made in Benin products processed locally within the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ), including:
- processed cashew nuts branded Made in Benin,
- 100% cotton bed linens and towels proudly labelled Made in Benin,
- and other products showcasing Benin’s ability to transform its natural resources through industrial value addition.
It was a key moment to assert the quality, traceability, and competitiveness of goods produced in the zone, further strengthening Benin’s image as an emerging industrial hub in West Africa.
A Remarkable Contribution to the ‘Invest in Benin’ Panel
Another highlight of the Forum was the participation of the Managing Director of Benin Textile, a company based in GDIZ, during the “Invest in Benin” panel. Through his insights, he highlighted the key reasons that led to the company’s decision to set up in Benin, including:
- a favourable business climate,
- the availability of skilled labour,
- strong support from the GDIZ teams,
- and a firm political will to drive industrialisation.
In this context, Mr Létondji BEHETON, Managing Director of SIPI-Bénin SA, stated: “GDIZ today reflects Benin’s industrial ambition. Through our participation in the Africa CEO Forum, we were able to demonstrate that our country is ready, structured, and attractive for investors committed to the local and sustainable transformation of African resources.”
Through its participation, GDIZ has strengthened its visibility at the continental level, reaffirmed its position as a pillar of Benin’s industrialisation, and confirmed its commitment to promoting Made in Benin far beyond our borders.
