Société d’Investissement et de Promotion de l’Industrie (SIPI-BENIN S.A.) in charge of the planning, development, management and promotion of Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ), organised a cohesion tournament from December 12 to 26 2025, aimed at strengthening bonds among staff and fostering team spirit within the Zone.
Officially launched on Friday, December 12, 2025, by Mr Faki Adjé, Deputy Managing Director of SIPI-BENIN S.A., and held under the theme “Together, let us grow our ambitions”, the football tournament brought together around ten teams representing the various factories operating in the Zone, as well as its partners.
A team representing the local community also took part in the competition, symbolising inclusion and the strong, lasting partnership between GDIZ and its surrounding community.
The matches were played in a friendly atmosphere, marked by fair-play, camaraderie and strong commitment from all participants.
At the end of the tournament, Benin Textile Corporation (BTC) emerged as champions, winning the trophy for this edition. GDIZ Security Agents’ team finished in second place, followed by Benin Textile (Btex) in third position. The Garment Manufacturing Units (GTC) completed the ranking in fourth place.
This initiative proved to be a great success, helping to strengthen cohesion and collaboration among all stakeholders within GDIZ.
SIPI-BENIN S.A. extends its congratulations to all participating teams for their commitment, as well as to the partners who supported the event, notably MOOV Africa and MTN, for their valuable contribution.
Through this cohesion tournament, SIPI-BENIN S.A. reaffirms its commitment to promoting well-being, social cohesion and harmonious coexistence within GDIZ.
