Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) continues to position itself as a key player in the sustainable industrial development of Africa. Through its participation in two major events, one focused on cybersecurity and the other on water management, GDIZ reaffirms its commitment to anticipating future challenges and promoting responsible, secure, and innovative industrial practices.

Cyber Africa Forum 2025

In today’s age of interconnected infrastructure, cybersecurity has become a critical issue for the continuity of industrial operations. In this context, GDIZ took part in the Cyber Africa Forum 2025, held on 24–25 June in Cotonou, to share its vision and best practices in digital security.

During a technical panel, Mr Yacoubou BOURAIMA, Head of IT at SIPI-BENIN S.A., highlighted GDIZ’s proactive approach: identifying vulnerabilities specific to industrial zones, strengthening coordination with institutions, and developing a collective cybersecurity strategy integrated from the infrastructure design phase. By placing cybersecurity at the heart of its priorities, GDIZ aims to ensure a reliable and resilient production environment.

Water and Sanitation Week 2025

GDIZ also participated in the 2025 Water and Sanitation Week in Cotonou, underscoring its commitment to responsible water management, an essential resource for the smooth operation of industrial zones.

Mawuli Bobobee, Public Health Engineering Manager, took part in a panel discussion on innovations in water treatment and reuse. He presented the solutions implemented by GDIZ to reconcile industrial performance with environmental protection. For GDIZ, adopting sustainable practices is key to building an industrial model that is both competitive and environmentally conscious.

By engaging in these two strategic forums, GDIZ reinforces its determination to stay ahead of the key challenges facing Africa’s industrial development. Whether addressing cybersecurity or resource sustainability, the Zone stands out as a committed stakeholder offering concrete, innovative, and locally adapted solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s issues.
