A delegation from Southern France explores collaboration opportunities with GDIZ
After participating in the Dare Benin roadshow in France in 2023, a delegation from risingSud, from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, visited Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ).
Led by Mr. Bernard Kleynhoff, President of risingSud, this visit aimed to discover the industrial development prospects offered by GDIZ and identify collaboration opportunities with French small and medium-sized enterprises.
This initiative, which could strengthen Franco-Beninese economic relations, reflects the growing interest of investors in the industrial potential of Benin.
The Prefect and local stakeholders from Mono department visit GDIZ
During the visit of the prefects of Benin to GDIZ on 17th April 2024, Mr. Bienvenu D. Milohin, Prefect of Mono Department, committed to organise a visit to the Zone for his collaborators and local stakeholders. On 18th October 2024, the Prefect fulfilled his promise by touring GDIZ facilities alongside the mayors of the Mono communes and the heads of the decentralised state services in his department.
This visit allowed local stakeholders to observe the ongoing industrial revolution at GDIZ. They also had the opportunity to learn about the employment prospects that the Zone could offer to the youth of Benin.
This initiative reflects a commitment to strengthening synergies between the GDIZ and local communities for shared and sustainable economic development in Benin.
