Minister of National Defense and Chief of General Staff of Benin visit GDIZ

On Friday, November 15, 2024, retired senior officers of Beninese Armed Forces, accompanied by the military high command and the Minister of National Defense, Fortunet Alain NOUATIN, visited Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ). This visit had a dual purpose: to showcase this flagship project of Benin’s industrialisation and to strengthen security strategies vital to its development.

From garment manufacturing units to cotton processing facilities and cashew transformation plants, the visitors were impressed by the scale and dynamism of GDIZ.

“The country is making extraordinary progress. We are proud to be Beninese,” said Major General Fructueux GBAGUIDI, Chief of Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces. This pride is paired with a commitment to further secure this strategic zone, a symbol of Benin’s industrial future.

Newly accredited Ambassadors explore GDIZ

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, following the presentation of their credentials to H.E. Patrice Talon, President of the Republic of Benin, twelve (12) newly accredited ambassadors to Benin had the opportunity to visit Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ).

This visit, organised as part of efforts to strengthen diplomatic cooperation between Benin and their respective countries, offered the diplomats an in-depth look at this flagship project of Benin’s industrialisation.

GDIZ, a true industrial hub, left a strong impression on the visitors with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and its potential to drive both local and foreign investment.

These ambassadors will now act as key spokespersons of GDIZ, promoting its opportunities to potential investors in their home countries.
