Benin’s ambassadors discover GDIZ

On April 17, 2025, Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) welcomed six newly appointed ambassadors of Benin, designated to represent the country in key strategic partner nations:

  • Mrs Agniola Ahouanmenou – Ambassador to the United States
  • Mr Erick Jean-Marie ZINSOU – Ambassador to India
  • Mr Franck ADJAGBA – Ambassador to China
  • Mr Nouhoume YOUSSOUFOU ABDOURAMANI – Ambassador to Qatar
  • Mr Badirou AGUEMON – Ambassador to Kuwait
  • Mr Joseph AHANHANZO – Ambassador to Morocco

The diplomatic delegation was received by Mrs Irmine GNIDEHOU, Communication Manager, and Mrs Marlyne GUEDEGBE, Legal Manager at Investment and Industry Promotion Company (SIPI-BENIN S.A.). The ambassadors toured operational industrial facilities specialising in garment manufacturing, textiles, cashew nut processing, and ceramic tile production.

This is an irreversible foundation for Benin’s economic development,” declared one of the ambassadors, clearly impressed by the scale and ambition of GDIZ.

The High Court of Justice engages with industry

On April 1, 2025, Mrs Dandi GNAMOU, President of Benin’s High Court of Justice, visited GDIZ with her colleagues and invited guests, with the aim of gaining deeper insight into the industrial transformation underway in the country.

The visit highlighted the role GDIZ plays in the local processing of raw materials and the creation of sustainable jobs in Benin.

It also provided an opportunity for discussion on legal aspects related to the Zone’s operations, particularly in relation to the business climate, legal protection for investments, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Ultimately, the visit underscored the importance of strengthening dialogue between the judicial, public, and private sectors in order to build a strong and prosperous economic future.

SIPI-BENIN S.A. celebrates its employees

On 12 April 2025, SIPI-BENIN S.A. honoured around forty employees from various companies operating within Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone, including SIPI-BENIN S.A., Benin Gas Transportation and Solutions (BGTS), Agricultural Production Development and Aggregation Company (SoDAPA), Raw Materials Services (RMS), and Provendes Benin.

These awards recognised staff members who had distinguished themselves through their dedication and their ability to exceed expectations.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr Létondji BEHETON, Managing Director, and Mr Faki ADJE, Deputy Managing Director of SIPI-BENIN S.A.
