Governor of Niger State (Nigeria) discovers GDIZ

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) welcomed Mr Mohammed Umar Bago, Governor of Niger State (Nigeria), accompanied by members of his team and industrialists from his State.

The delegation was received by Mr Létondji Beheton, Managing Director of SIPI-BENIN S.A., and toured several operational industrial units within GDIZ, including garment manufacturing facilities, the textile park, and the tile production unit, Afrikan Ceramics Solutions.

This visit enabled the Nigerian guests to gain a better understanding of GDIZ’s integrated industrial development model, which focuses on local raw material processing, sustainable job creation, and the promotion of Beninese know-how.

At the end of the visit, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago praised the vision and successful implementation of this flagship project, stating:“ GDIZ is making Benin a true pioneer in industrial development in Africa.”

Visit of Minister of Digital Affairs to GDIZ

On Wednesday, October 16, Mrs Aurélie I. ADAM SOULE ZOUMAROU, Minister of Digital Affairs and Digitalisation of Benin, paid a working visit to GDIZ.

She successively toured the Garment training and manufacturing Units, Btex integrated textile production unit, and Afrikan Ceramics Solutions (ACS).

Beyond the discovery of the industrial facilities, discussions focused on the digital services already operational within the Zone and the assessment of the performance of the deployed fiber-optic network.

The Minister also reiterated the importance of strengthening cybersecurity, by providing GDIZ with a manual for the prevention and management of digital risks, aimed at ensuring the protection of data and servers of businesses operating within the Zone.

This visit reflects the Government’s commitment to making GDIZ a connected, secure, and forward-looking industrial Zone.
