The Minister of State, Mr. Abdoulaye Bio Tchané visits GDIZ

Minister of State Mr. Abdoulaye Bio Tchané visited GDIZ on 8 February 2022.

The Minister alongside the general directors of SIPI BENIN and APIEx BENIN, Letondji Beheton and Laurent Gangbes, observed the state of progress of construction work in the zone as well as some infrastructures (fire station, electrical substation, the arrival of fibre optics and the access roads to the sites).

Key points discussed were:

• Administrative support for companies that have already signed their plot reservation contracts.
• The operationalisation of the GDIZ through the drafting of a procedure manual governing the activity of the administrations present within the zone.
• The installation of the 1200Ha Solar Power Plant to supply the companies with electricity.
• The construction works of the zone are at 85% completion with 24 investors for a total investment amount of 247 billion FCFA!
