Women’s Day celebration on March 8th for the female staff of GDIZ
The female staff of Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone began March 8th with an exclusive exchange session in the presence of Mr. Létondji Beheton, the Director-General of the Investment and Promotion of Industry Company (SIPI-Benin S.A.). During this meeting, the Director-General reaffirmed SIPI-Benin S.A.’s commitment to developing female talents, promoting and valuing women, and supporting their advancement to positions of responsibility within the company. He also emphasized his availability to address any concerns raised by the female staff.
Celebration of International Women’s Rights Day (IWRD)
Adorned in specially chosen fabric for the occasion, the female staff of GDIZ marked International Women’s Rights Day (IWRD) by joining forces with the women from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC). Minister Shadiya Alimatou Assouman was also present to share in this significant moment.
This collaboration with MIC’s women aims to strengthen ties within the industrial sector and promote closer collaboration. Participants believe that this union will enhance the sharing of experiences among them, underscoring their commitment to equality, diversity, and the collective growth of our industrial community.
Over 300 blood bags collected in blood donation campaign
The recent blood donation campaign at Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ), in partnership with the Claudine TALON Foundation, took place on the 5th and 6th of March and brought together over a hundred participants.
The team extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants who contributed to the success of the blood donation sessions. Thanks to their dedication and solidarity, approximately 300 blood bags were collected—a significant achievement with a positive impact on the lives of many individuals. Each blood donation represents a glimmer of hope for those in need, and the participants’ involvement reflects the generosity and compassion that characterizes the community within GDIZ.
