The company BENIN CONTROL, technical arm of the Beninese customs and specialized in the procedures of customs clearance and removal of goods, visited the GDIZ this September 14!

A delegation made up of its MD, Mr. Gwendal Euzen, and some technical directors and heads of departments went to the GDIZ in order to strengthen the collaboration ties with the zone and thus provide quality services to its multiple investors.
Received by the CEO of SIPI-BENIN SA, Mr. Létondji BEHETON, our visitors were able to attend a complete presentation of the project.

During the discussions, the delegation was mainly interested in the logistical arrangements in and around the zone, to relieve investors. Mr. Beheton took the opportunity to present some upcoming logistics projects:

  • The installation of a container terminal within the zone
  • The creation of a truck park within the zone
  • The doubling of the Cotonou-Abomey road
  • The connection of the zone to the railways

The CEO of BENIN CONTROL underlined his admiration: “I am very impressed. My whole team is as well. The site is incredible, clean and we feel an emulation. We feel that every day, the area is progressing. I am also impressed by the integration of the different departments and players.”
