On Thursday, 25 June, GDIZ hosted the ZES Invest Forum, a platform for dialogue designed to support the growth of investors operating within the Special Economic Zones (SEZ).

Co-organised by APIEx BENIN and SIPI-BENIN S.A., the forum brought together GDIZ investors and key public institutions around the theme: “Certificate of completion of installation in Special Economic Zones (SEZs)”.

The forum provided an opportunity to clarify the various stages, requirements and procedures for obtaining the Certificate of completion of installation, a key document in the establishment process for companies operating within the SEZ. Discussions also covered tax and customs implications, regulatory requirements, as well as best practices in compliance and supply chain traceability.

Participants benefited from insights shared by key resource persons, including the Deputy Managing Director of SIPI-BENIN S.A., the Managing Director of APIEx BENIN, the Managing Director of Taxes, the Managing Director of Benin Control, and a delegation from the Customs Administration.

Through the ZES Invest Forum, GDIZ continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing investors with ongoing support by fostering constructive dialogue with the relevant public authorities and strengthening an enabling environment for the sustainable development of industrial activities.
