The Roadshow kicked off on 19 June at the Hôtel de Région PACA in Marseille where around 80 entrepreneurs came to discover the economic opportunities to be found in Benin.
Our French partners, such as the Région Sud (in partnership with Bpifrance France), as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Business France, Mouvement des Entreprises de France International, Africalink, APEX and the Les Conseillers du Commerce extérieur de la France (CCEF), were on hand to support entrepreneurs looking to set up business on the African continent.
This first step ended with a visit to the Fer à Cheval soap factory, producers of the famous ‘Savon de Marseille’.
“The whole idea now is to work on this new dynamic, to build and finance joint projects combining Beninese and French know-how, and to co-invest. Business opportunities go beyond the sale of equipment or services. Now is the time to go for it. To succeed in Benin, as elsewhere on the continent, you need to plan for the long term,” said Arnaud Floris, Africa coordinator at Bpifrance.
