GDIZ Participates in the 2024 Water and Sanitation Week

From 3rd to 5th December 2024, GDIZ participated in the inaugural edition of the Water and Sanitation Week, organised in Cotonou by the Center of Excellence for Water and Sanitation in Africa (C2EA), in collaboration with the National Water Institute (INE) of the University of Abomey-Calavi.

Mr. Mawuli BOBOBEE, Public Health Engineering Manager at GDIZ, represented the Zone during a panel discussion on strategic topics including:

  • Risk and disaster management
  • Sanitation and the circular economy
  • Access to drinking water
  • Water and sustainable agriculture

GDIZ’s participation in the 2024 Water and Sanitation Week reflects its commitment to innovation and sustainability, contributing to practical solutions for the future of Africa.

ASECNA visits Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ)

As part of its social dialogue plan, the Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) selected Benin to host the 2024 edition of the Community Staff for Consultation and Negotiation (OCCN) meeting.

On Thursday 12 December 2024, some one hundred participants in this meeting from the 18 ASECNA member countries visited Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ). This visit enabled them to appreciate the economic and industrial transformations underway in Benin thanks to the GDIZ.

GDIZ is emerging as a major hub of attraction in Africa, drawing the attention of leading continental organisations such as ASECNA, thanks to its innovative and sustainable development model.
